Note that the above Portaportal site can assist your child in learning about the subjects we are studying in second grade. The math sites have many games to help children learn their math facts.
Suggested supplies for grade two are listed below. Please note that we have materials in the room to share, if you are unable to purchase any.
crayons
pencils
hand held pencil sharpener (the type that catches the shavings)
pencil case (smaller type)
a couple of pocket folders
glue sticks
earphones to use with the laptops (optional)

To aid your child in learning about money it is helpful for them to have a set of real coins. We have plastic coins here, but the real ones are the thing to use. Your child could use the following:
4 quarters
5 nickels
10 dimes
20 pennies
Even if they can use a few examples of each, it helps.
