A Note from the Editor:
Hello Everyone! It’s January, and that means it’s time for scholarships! The abnormally warm weather this year seems to have brought out all kinds of new applications, so we’ve updated our lists!
Always remember that new scholarships are coming into the Guidance office daily. Local scholarships will not be available until early April, upon which time we will inform you with another list of local applications. Constantly changing is the name of the game. Check once every couple weeks to see if we’ve gotten any new applications that you might qualify for. FAME scholarships will be arriving soon, so that will be great for a lot of you!
This list was published to give you an idea for what you can apply for; we will not track you down and make you apply for these scholarships! That being said, we hope that this list will make it easier for you to find ways to fund your education. We’re here to assist you if you take the initiative. Always feel free to talk to Mrs. Hasty, Mr. Donovan, Lauren, or Heidi if you have any questions about these scholarships. We put it together, we can help!
Also remember: We must receive copies of your college acceptance letters, SAR (Student Aid Report that you get from filing the FAFSA), and your financial aid packages from the colleges that you receive them from. These are needed for the Scholarship Committee, which decides where and to who some scholarships go to!
Finally, I would like to wish you all the best with your applications to your colleges, and in the coming Quarter. I am sure you will all succeed in whatever you do.
Wishing you the best,
Lauren Duplin & Heidi Howell
