This is just a quick update on what we have been doing in 2nd grade:

Grade 2 News
Reading- The students are really focusing on retelling and comprehending the stories that they are reading.
Math- A great deal of time has been spent on distinguishing between parallel and perpendicular lines, drawing line segments, and identifying geometric shapes.
Writing- Students in grade 2 have composed both a poem and writing piece about Spring.
Social Studies- An unit on "people have made a difference"
