Welcome!

In the Functional Living Skills classroom, we are committed to helping every student reach the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals that will help them get the most out of home, classroom, school and community living environments.   Dedicated and caring staff are ready to work with students needing academic support, direct instruction in content areas, practice on daily living skills, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and any other supports that will help them get the best out of their school year and future living environments.  Activities may include: inclusive placement in regular education settings, developmentally appropriate instruction in the FLS room in a subject area, cooking, personal hygiene practice, Adaptive Physical Education led by a Sacopee Valley High Gym teacher or many more options according to students' IEPs.
For more information contact the program instructor, Paul Mathieu by email at pmathieu.sad55.k12.me.us or the Special Education Department at (207) 625-7134.
