This is a unique opportunity for parents to sit down with a financial aid expert for ONE-ON-ONE sessions at SVHS to assist students and families in applying for financial aid.  SVHS has been awarded this assistance through a grant that allows for a Financial Aid Expert to come to SVHS and sit down with our families one-on-one. This grant was made possible by:  MASFAA/MELMAC Financial Aid/High School Partnership Grant Prior to attending your one-on-one session you should visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to download the 2009 FAFSA Worksheet prior to your appointment, if able.  Having this worksheet started will assist you in gathering information prior to your meeting.  Both the student and at least one parent/guardian also must apply for an electronic PIN #, this serves as the student and parents electronic signature. This can be completed prior to appointments but not necessary. ***More importantly!!!***  It is not necessary to have your tax data for 2008 completed.  Much of the FAFSA can be filled out online and updated at a later time.  Most areas can also be estimated and submitted, tax forms are not required usually until it gets closer to the start of the post secondary experience, or as available, but not required when filing the FAFSA.
