Cornish School Student Rules

We believe that discipline involves guiding students to make wise descisions reguarding their behavior towards others in our school community. Teachers encourage and lead students to follow rules and directions, to develop good work habits, to respect others and to understand the reasons for doing so. Our rules are for the safety and welfare of everyone in our school. Specific rules are as follows:

 *  Show all adults and peers equal and due respect.
*  School needs to be a safe place for everyone. Physical agression and unsafe activities are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
*  Dangerous articles such as weapons, knives, and chains are not allowed in school. This includes pocket knives.
*  Appropriate language will be used at all times. Profanity and vulgarity are unacceptable.
*  Students will walk inside the school building.
*  School is a place for learning. Skateboards, rollerblades and expensive toys should stay at home.
*  Students need permission to leave the school grounds during the school day.
*  Students will treat school property respectfully. If things are damaged or lost, the student is responsible for replacement. This includes library books,  textbooks, and furniture.
